Emirates First Class Suite Aboard Their Boeing 777's

Emirates calls this "your own private hotel room in the sky", and their private suites can only be found aboard Boeing 777 jets, as they're the only ones large enough to accommodate them. The suites are 40 square feet and 84 feet long, with floor-to-ceiling doors, temperature controls, and virtual windows.

Shower Spas Aboard The A380

If you're flying an Emirates Airbus A380, you'll get a real treat that even the Triple Sevens don't: a shower-spa. These are private cabins that feature a circular shower, customizable heated floors, a toilet, shower amenities, and a hair dryer. You have five minutes of water time, but you can turn it off and on as much as you want. There's also fruit and green tea after your shower for the ultimate spa-like experience.

Semi-Private First Class Cubicles

Also found aboard the Boeing 777 are semi-private cubicles. For those flying first class on the A380, your private cubicles don't go floor-to-ceiling, but they do come with a seat that reclines into a bed. And, if you're sitting next to someone you know, the privacy panel can be controlled electronically.

First Class Meals

No potato chips and airport sandwiches for you. Passengers aboard Emirates flights are given real food—luxurious, yes, but real! Complimentary champagne, fine wine, juices, coffee and tea accompany the main courses: caviar, cream of mushroom soup, hummus, tapioca dumplings, and pan-seared salmon trout. First-class food on a first-class flight.

Amazing Amenity Kits

If you're worried about skincare aboard either the Airbus A380 or Boeing 777, you needn't! Both planes have a Bulgari amenity kit that includes moisturizer, perfume, and other skincare necessities, whereas the Byredo one provided on the 777 has chamomile pillow mist, roll-on sleep oil, a faux leather notebook, and a branded pen.

A Chauffeured Ride To And From The Airport

Sure, you could always take an Uber. But if you're flying business or first class, why not get the Emirates treatment and get a chauffeur to bring you to the airport and then drop you off at your destination once you arrive? We'll note that chauffeur services are only available in select cities around the world.

The Onboard Lounge On The A380

If you're looking to meet other travelers, or simply enjoy a space on the plane that's not your seat or luxury compartment, business and first class travelers aboard an Emirates A380 can enjoy the lounge area. A 55-inch TV is present as well as a snack bar, or you could mingle with fellow travellers.

The Dubai Airport Lounge

As Emirates is owned by the Government of Dubai, it's not surprising that their airport lounge for First Class, Day Pass ($250-$300) holders, or Platinum Emirates Skywards passengers is the epitome of airport lounge luxury. Spa treatments, shoe shining, a children's area with arcade games, a duty-free area, and a buffet. There's also one in San Francisco that's pretty flashy too.

Weight Versus Number Of Bags

Rather than taking the numerical approach to baggage, Emirates allows passengers in business and first class to fly with two pieces of checked luggage up to 110 lbs, if you're to and from the Americas and Africa, within the Americas, or between the Americas and Europe. One thing to bear in mind is that there's no overhead space if you're flying first class.

Where Will Your Next Emirates Journey Take You?

Emirates first class tickets are expensive. They generally cost around $2,000 to fly within the United States, but the fancy add-ons, en-suite shower, and the ability to sleep comfortably is something you'll at least want to do once in your flying life, right? Let us know what's missing from Emirates' first class offerings in the comments below.

EXPLORING

Two explorers in Alabama toured a lost plantation and graveyard with metal detectors, and took photos of everything they found.

Two explorers stood before a weathered home in Alabama’s countryside. Cedar trees framed the structure like sentinels. These evergreens can live for centuries, which makes them natural indicators of age and silent witnesses to generations passing through.

Newly discovered writings from a 14th-century scholar cast fresh light on the Shroud of Turin controversy.

Centuries ago, a brilliant scholar sat down to untangle strange marvels that puzzled his world. He wasn’t swayed by faith alone. Instead, he pulled apart legends, showing how reason could silence superstition.
