Everybody thinks they know the best city in America...but there is no doubt this newest ranking of the top cities in the country is going to spark some debate.

The 2026 rankings are finally here, and while some familiar names are still holding strong, a bunch of surprising cities have climbed much higher than many people expected. So, what do you think of these top 30?

30: O'Fallon, Missouri

O'Fallon kicks off the list as one of the Midwest's biggest quality-of-life success stories. Residents enjoy strong schools, relatively affordable housing, and easy access to St. Louis. It may not be a city that gets national attention very often, but the rankings clearly think people should pay more attention.
