World Happiness Report
April 1, 2012 saw the release of the first World Happiness Report and they have been released annually since 2016. The rankings are determined based on various life factors—such as social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, etc. Ranking also incorporate a happiness measurement survey done by Gallup around the world, in which respondents are asked to think of the best possible life for them being a 10, and the worst possible life being a 0. Put everything together and each country is given a World Happiness Score—which is determined as an average of the previous three years.
For this list we will look at the top 50 countries ranked in the 2024 report, as well as their score and where they place in the previous 2023 report.
